September fashion is a bridge from the light weight and loose clothes of summer to the structured heavy weights of fall and I for one am having a hard time coping with the fact that it is indeed September and summer is ending. To help me{and you!} feel better about the situation, I have found some truly beautiful pieces that are a little bit summer and a little bit fall. Which makes them perfect for right now!
Solna Sleeveless Top by Velvet by Graham and Spencer.
First is this lovely feminine Solna Sleeveless Top by Velvet by Graham and Spencer. I am loving the neckline, the super soft and drapey material and this perfect for all gray/purple color. The detail really draws the eyes up to your face, and highlights the collarbone.

Isn’t this Marni Cowlneck Pocket Dress by Velvet by Graham and Spencerjust perfect for September?? I love the dressy and casual blend that it gives, not to mention the very forgiving cut. {For those of us that maybe enjoyed summer a bit too much!}
Cold Shoulder Top by Sweet Pea.
Lastly, I love the water color pattern{so right now!} and slit sleeve detail on the Cold Shoulder Top by Sweet Pea. These are perfect early fall colors and the flattering loose cut is great with leggings, shorts, or jeans. The stars and fashion came out for the Emmy Awards last weekend. So many beautiful gowns to see, it was a delight for the eyes{mostly}. If you missed the red carpet, no worries, I have a few select looks to share that are sure to inspire you to have a more fashionable week! First, is Lea Michelle, the first lady of Glee really wowed in a sweet heart neckline and navy ruffles.

I have to say that I was rather impressed with the entire cast, and just have to share both Dianna Argon is her beautiful blush colored lace overlay gown and Heather Morris in her gold belted number. I really love both of these looks and think that a little lace and sparkle is always a good thing, even for everyday looks.

This sweater is also full of surprising details like the adorable pockets and puff sleeves. This is also a super soft lightweight knit that can give you warmth but won’t overheat you. Last week was the Teen Choice Awards and once again the attendees came out with some real fashion eye candy. Although this show is for teens, the real deal actors, musicians, and reality stars came out showing their best. I love to see what different types of fashion are going to be worn and what new trends are cropping up that I can apply to my real world mom style. Here are a few select looks that caught my attention:
Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell, love the nude shoe, love the red sheer overlay, love the look. So sophisticated and sexy at the same time.
Kardashian and Jenner girls.
The Kardashian and Jenner girls showing us basic black and beige in a variety of ways. I love this basic and chic color combination. So classic, and I love how each one has a different spin on it.
Yvonne Strahovski
Yvonne Strahovski looks stunning in this nude dress with the tone on tone details, love the criss crossing the in the front. But hello, my favorite part of the outfit has to be the pop of color, coral heels. I love a pop of color, she looks great! There were other great looks too, so draw some inspiration and go put something fabulous together from your closet for the weekend!

Sunglasses are the perfect accessory for sunny summer weather and hot summer fashion. Plus, when you are in a hurry, or heading home from the beach, they cover up those no mascara eye lashes! Whether it is over-sized, aviator, or retro there is a fit that works for everyone.

One style that has come back and seems to continue to be a big hit, is retro inspired frames. I especially love the over-sized variety that scream feathered hair and bell bottoms. Check out these

Nothing complements all your fun summer fashion better then a nice, bright white smile. I find that especially in the summer, when skin is a bit tanner and the clothes a bit brighter, a white smile is the perfect accessory. In the last few years lots of new over the counter products have come out for the everyday gal who can’t afford in-office whiting.
