As things finally start to warm up outside, I thought I would finally do a blog about some of my favorite tops and designers that I am wearing these days to look fashionable in this transitional weather. I love layering and since it is still a little too cold to wear tanks and short sleeves in Colorado I have found this tank works great over a basic long sleeve scoop neck.

Tie Tank by La Bafana
This tie tank is perfect for layering or wearing alone. I also love its sister tank which is the same style, but with an adorable polka dot pattern.

La Befana Polka Dot Tie Tank

Hampton Widesleeve Scoop Neck by Ella Moss
I’ve been wearing this Hampton widesleeve scoop neck top by Ella Moss with jeans all over the place lately. The scoop neck with the empire waist tie allows this top to be loose but also flattering at the same time. I also love this deep crimson color. I tend to pair this top with Splendid’s Very Light Jersey Draped Cardigan in white.

Splendid's Very Lighe Jersey Draped Cardigan in Coffee
This jersey cardigan comes in coffee (brown), white, black, and parsley (green). It is super comfortable and perfect to add a little extra warmth on a chilly spring night.
These are just some of my favorite tops lately, you can see these tops and more at Vintage Fringe.

Everyone wants to look fashionable, or their best no matter what the climate, and even in a tough economy you can update your look for spring with just a few pieces. This spring, as usual, we are being hit with loads of trends and fads, i suggest picking a few that work for you, your lifestyle, your body type and going with those. The three trends that I am loving are prints and over-sized florals, sleeves, and black and white. First the prints and over-sized florals, what a fun eye-popping trend. Go bold here and remember to not go too over the top, keeping accessories simple can help avoid that. This Sleeveless Front Tie Tank Top by Sweet Pea is perfect for spring and perfect for this trend. Imagine a boyfriend blazer on top of it for the office and then let is stand alone for a night out-love that!

Next is sleeves, most people tend to think that warmer weather means less sleeves, but this year you will find lots of options that offer chic coverage. Sleeves are oh so flattering, especially the flouncy versions found this spring. A great option to try this trend is the Keelin Squareneck Lace Top by Velvet.{bonus, it just happen to be in a print, two trends for the price of one!}

Lastly is the stark contrast of black and white. I love this trend because it is so versatile and easy to incorporate in any wardrobe. Bold color accessories look great with black and white and stripes, patterns, shirts, dresses, sweaters and more can all be done in this trend. I am loving this
Gable Stripe Cardigan by
Laurie B.The bold black an white stripes are right on and the exposed zipper adds a bit of edge, not to mention that the cut is ultra flattering.

Spring is such a fun time of year, the fabulous weather, and more sunshine are wonderful and they are even more wonderful when enjoyed in these chic clothes! Head on over to Vintage Fringe for all these looks and more!

Easter dresses were as much a tradition in my family as decorating Easter eggs. Now that I am older- the egg hunts may be over for me but I still love finding that perfect Easter dress to wear to church on Easter Sunday. In my opinion there are some key elements to any Easter dress you wear. First the color of your dress must be bright, and second your dress has to scream spring. Below are some of my picks for the perfect Easter dress.

Splendid Modal Jersey V Neck Dress
I love this V Neck Dress from Splendid in the color blueberry (purple) for an Easter dress. I love love love this modal jersey fabric this dress is made from because it is machine washable, ultra soft, and extremely flattering. Also check out the empire waiste, v-neck detail and those cute short sleeves.

Ella Moss Dita V Neck Ruffle Dress
This V Neck Ruffle Dress is a perfect choice for Easter. This dress is all about the tiny details like the ruffled neckline and ruching on the empire waist line which takes this classically constructed dress into a whole new level of design. This dress will be a favorite of yours for years to come. I should also mention that Ella Moss designs this dress in shadow (purple pictured about) and pond (green).

Ella Moss Odessa V Neck Dress
Long dresses are a major trend this season, and this Odessa Dress designed by Ella Moss could also double as a great Easter dress. I love the pleaded detail on this dress along with the empire waistband. View this dress and many more designer dresses at Vintage Fringe and Happy Easter!!!

Fashion is always evolving, changing, and making old trends new again. Double denim, or head-to-toe denim use to be a huge fashion faux pas, but designers and celebrities have started pairing denim with more and denim this spring. Celebrities and models have all been piling on shades of blue, but no worries you don’t have to be either of those to pull of this trend. Check out this model from the Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer 2010 runway show, notice the lighter colored shirt with darker jeans. That is key to making this look good for everyday wear. Matching denim head-to-toe can be a bit much if you ask me.

Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer 2010 runway model
Cameron Diaz, who is always looking effortlessly chic switches it up with a darker shirt and lighter jeans. I also love the distressed details of these jeans, it helps to keep the look relaxed and comfortable. Many celebrities are pairing this look with riding boots, so your jeans are tucked in and that looks fabulous too!

If you are feeling bold and confidant you can try something a bit more matchy matchy, like on this model. And please don’t forget if the the whole jean and denim shirt look just isn’t for you, there are loads of other options right now in denim. I have seen everything from dresses, skirts, shoes, handbags, shorts, jackets and more in denim for spring, so try some different combinations and find something that works for you!

No, I don’t mean the 1980’s kind that you wore with your braces at night, I am talking about the hot, hot, trend of headbands! Headbands are everywhere right now, Gossip Girl is obsessed with them, designers are pairing them with their runway looks, and every store from Target to Saks carries them. So, if you haven’t tried them yet, now is the time! They are so chic and simple to add to just about any outfit. {not to mention they make ponytail days look instantly glam!} With bows, feathers, flowers, rhinestones and more there is sure to be something that fits with everyone’s style and the best part is that no matter if you have short, long, or even no hair, a headband is going to look cute! Here are several different headbands to get you started with rocking this look. First, is this super cute striped bow, it is girly, but not too much with a men’s wear inspired print. Don’t be afraid to rock these stripes with a patterned shirt, mixing prints is very in right now. I won’t tell you the insane price of this little number, but it is very affordable so no worries if you only use it every so often.

Secondly, is this sweet little Rose Buddy headband. I love the look of the rose buds, they are small enough to not make a massive statement, but big enough to notice and add some fringe to your outfit of chouice. This lovely band comes in an array of colors, making it easy to choose one that suites you!

- Rose Buddy headband by Tasha
Ok, so I wanted to share one of my favorite feather headbands next, but I just couldn’t pass up sharing this gorgeous Camryn band. I just love the bright color and detail on this one. Imagine it with a coral colored top and white jeans for summer, so cute! True Birds has loads of cute head gear, they would be a good place to start if you are new to this trend.

Now go out there and rock this look! Be confidant, you will look amazing, trust me. And if you are looking for some fashion to match, check out Vintage Fringe for all your clothing needs! {or wants, or desires}

This Wednesday Irish or not so Irish it’s probably in your best interest to wear green. I am still trying to decide just how festive I want to look for a St. Patty’s day party this weekend. Just in case anyone else is still trying to pick your outfit out. Below are some of my favorites to choose from.

Laurie B. Emmy Cardigan Sweater in Kelly Green
This Cardigan Sweater is designed by Laurie B. and is the sweater I receive the most compliments on. I love how it snaps at the neck and then slits open for a cardigan feel. The pocket detail and long length makes this sweater so comfortable and easy to wear. I always pair this sweater with the Zooey long sleeve crew neck in white. Considering this sweater is now in the outlet- it’s a steal of a deal. Maybe the luck of the Irish.
The other shirt I am considering for St. Patrick’s day is this Victoria Front Tie Top designed by Ella Moss.

Ella Moss Victoria Front Tie Top
There are so many details I love about this top. First I love the ruffles at the neck line and the cuffs. This flirty top is made of Ella Moss’s modal fabric which is super durable and the ultimate in comfort.
Some of you celebrating St. Patrick’s Day may want to dress it up. For a dressy night on the town I would suggest the Aggie V Neck Ruffle Dress.

Aggie V Neck Ruffle Dress by Ella Moss
This empire waist dress is so adorable and so unique you will definitely stand out as the best dressed in the crowd. I love how fun and playful yet flattering the stripes are on this dress. St. Patty’s Day or not you will be sure to gave good luck the night you wear this dress. For any other St. Patrick’s day inspirations just visit VintageFringe.com and search by color. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

Ella Moss clothes can be described as hip, quirky and fashionable. But my favorite thing about this clothing line is that the pieces are so comfortable! They are as stylish as ever, yet feel like you are wearing your favorite old t-shirt. I also appreciate how versatile these clothes are, they can easily go from day to night depending on what you pair them with. Here are a few of my favorite pieces, starting with this ultra flattering
Costa Puffsleeve V Neck. The draping at the bust line looks elegant and stylish, this would be great with white jeans and embellished flats for summer.

Ella Moss Costa Puffsleeve V Neck
Right on target with the nautical trend, Ella Moss’s Melbourne line is chic, comfortable and features wide stripes in a variety of colors. I particularly like the
Melbourne Puffsleeve Front Tie Top, the oatmeal color is great and the v neck in front and back add great detail to this slouchy top. It could be paired nicely with just about any color and dressed up with dark denim and heels or dressed down with cute cut offs and sandals.

Ella Moss Melbourne Puffsleeve Front Tie Top
The last Ella Moss top I want to highlight is this light and breezy Jocelyn Puffsleeve Boatneck Top. I love the bright color {this beauty is also available in Lemonade aka yellow, which is fab!} and the gathered cuff, collar, and hem which make this shirt all the more flattering and forgiving for those of us without the picture perfect body shape. This shirt could easily do double duty this summer as a swim cover up, and because of the fun print you don’t need loads of accessories. {Although I have always been one to do a bit more rather then a bit less when it comes to accessories!}

All of these tops and more Ella Moss beauties are available at Vintage Fringe, go check it out and tell me your fav!

Whoever thought sweaters were out for spring was certainly wrong!!! Short sleeved sweaters are a perfect must have for this time of year. Especially on those days that seem to be warm, but could easily turn cooler. This time of year I find is perfect for short sleeved knitwear.

Look Perfect for Spring in Sweet Pea's 4 Tiered Ruffled Tank and The Rumba Puffsleeve Sweater by Laurie B
Laurie ‘B.’s Puffsleeve Cardigan Sweater is one of my must have cardigans. I love how this cardigan sweater snaps closed for one kind of look, but can also be worn unsnapped as a cardigan. The puff sleeves and pocket detail sets this cardigan sweater apart from any of your friends clothing. Available in Grey or Black this sweater is perfect for layering this spring.

Laurie B.'s Venice Keyhole Sweater
This short sleeve sweater with it’s traditional design with a few modern “fringe” details is the perfect sweater for spring. The front features flared sleeves and a traditional cut, while the back has a unique and subtle double keyhole detail. Laurie B.’s Venice Keyhole sweater looks great for work or play and is available in purple and ivory.
Whether you are going for a spring walk or walking into work, these short sleeve sweaters will keep you just warm enough without looking too wintry. For these and other knitwear designs perfect for spring, just visit www.vintagefringe.com.
