Some of our favorite tops hail from designer Ella Moss. The wonderful Ella Moss line is well known for their great use of luxurious fabrics to help give their pieces a flowy, feminine look. Consider the Victoria Front Tie Neck Top by Ella Moss. This top features a ruffle around the neckline and long ties for show or if you were to actually tie them around the neck would give it a more Victorian look. This top features a v neckline with buttons down the center of the bodice. The base of the top has a loose fluid look to it. The sleeves also feature a light ruffle at the hem. Made with contrasting voile fabric around the cuffs and bustline and modal jersey around the body of the top, this top feels as luxurious as it looks. This beautiful top is available in Lemonade (Yellow) or Chive (Green).

The Jocelyn Puff Sleeve Top by Ella Moss is also a great versatile piece for your wardrobe. This top features a lightweight cotton fabric with an adorable pattern including white flowers on the solid cherry red or lemonade yellow fabrics. This elegant v neck also features smocking in the center at the base of the v neck for contrast which really does give this top an added element of femininity. If you’re shopping for great pieces from Ella Moss there are so many great options to consider. As a little bit of background the Ella Moss line was started by designer Pamella Protzel Scott who originally studied graphic design when she realized that fashion was her true passion. After attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising she was hired to work for Moise Emquies the founder of Mo Industries. The pair partnered together to create Ella Moss taken from Pamella’s nickname (Ella) and Moise’s nickname (Moss). In their own words, they describe the Ella Moss line as follows: “Hip, quirky, fashionable”. Protzel explained that her main inspiration for design was art, fashion, people, travelling, and Parisian flea markets. She describes the collection as “flowy femininity with the comfort level of a t-shirt.” You’ll find that Ella Moss fashions truly live up to that description and it isn’t hard to find so many great pieces when you are shopping the Ella Moss line.

As an example of a few of our favorite pieces as examples of the great fabrics and design that is so signature of Ella Moss consider the Blaire Widesleeve Crew Dress. A beautiful dress with an angled contrasting hem with color options including Navy and White or Yellow and Grey. We love the clean contrast around the high waist and the pleats around the neckline and the front keyhole giving this dress a variety of added detail and feminine touches. This dress is made of 100% rayon which makes it dry clean only, but it feels so soft and luxurious that it is completely worth it. This collection also features a great Blaire Puffsleeve Scoop Neck top features that same navy with contrasting white trim and includes ¾ length sleeves and a cutout detail around the shoulders.

Another great Ella Moss piece that brings a bit of luxury to something so basic is the Hampton Hoodie. With contrasting voile shirting fabric around the neckline and trim around the hoodie with brown wooden beads at the end of the drawstring hoodie and even brown wood buttons to give this top added feminine touches. Complete with gathering at the sides of the hemline and with faux rolled up ¾ length sleeves you will love the details on this top. We also love the Bay Blue color and even the white color that really looks classic, but still has that Ella Moss signature touch with amazing fabrics that really do feel like a t-shirt. This top is made of a modal jersey and micro modal fabric which makes it dry clean only, but unbelievably soft.

Ella Moss is the perfect brand for fall fashion, the fabrics are always comfortable with style that is perfect for every day and for every night. Sweet {and a bit sassy} Summer Dresses

So, its official, its the middle of June and it is summer. I for one, love the cool, stylish, and comfortable look of dresses and skirts. For me, they can be way more comfortable, and so easy to through on the go. Not to mention that they can go from beach, to dinner, to errands so effortlessly with a change of shoes and accessories. Ella Moss makes gorgeous dresses, and I especially love the detail on the Hollie Racerback Maxi Dress.

Finding Fashion at the Beach

Don’t worry I am not talking about swimsuits just yet {prepare yourselves, the time is coming soon} but rather the cute things we wear on top of swimsuits. Since it isn’t quite full blown summer just yet any swim outing will probably require some sort of cover up and depending on the type of gal you are you might always require a swim cover up so lets look at some fashionable, versatile, and comfortable options.

Ok, first we have the full coverage of a maxi dress, which is super flattering for most body types. I love this Ella Moss Hollie Racerback Maxi Dress because it is casual enough for the beach yet elegant enough for a night out. I love pieces that can work for lots of occasions and this dress surly does that. Imagine it with aviator sunglasses, beaded gladiator sandals and a bright yellow bag-cute!

If you want something that shows a little more leg, try this ultra cute Sweet Pea Sleeveless Empire Waist Dress. Again the empire waist is a flattering cut that hides imperfections, and can easily transition from beach to going out. This dress can completely change looks with different accessories.

What Makes a Dress Perfect for Spring??

Like the flowers and buds in my front yard Spring Dresses are in bloom everywhere. But as I sort my closet this spring I decided to create some criteria for what exactly qualifies a dress to be perfect for Spring.

First Fabric: Spring is light and airy not thick and structured so the perfect spring dress needs to be a light fabric. A great example of a lush fabric for spring is Splendid’s Modal Jersey V-Neck Dress.

This adorable dress can always be paired with leggings on the colder days, but it is a perfect choice for the spring dress. I especially love the sleeves on this dress they are long and whimsical.

The second criteria for the perfect spring dress is color, I am particular to the pinks and greens for spring time this year.

Aggie B Neck Ruffle Dress

While I love this Aggie V Neck Ruffle Dress dress for any season I think the emerald green is especially hot this spring. The sleeveless detail also makes it a great spring or summer dress. Also good to mention Ella Moss designed this dress with enough attention to detail you’ll never have to worry the dress is fully lined and hits just above the knee.

The final critieria I came up with for the perfect summer dress was the sleeves: short sleeved or sleeveless both scream spring to me.
