One of our favorite modern twists on the classic bomber jacket style is the Jersey Bomber Jacket by Zooey by Alice Heller.  This bomber jacket is available in both black and navy. We love the fact that it isn’t leather the traditional bomber jacket fabric.  Since we are always searching for pieces that help you create your own individual style, we were thrilled that this jersey bomber jacket is truly a distinctive piece.  With a fold over collar if you decide to button it up all the way or a wide v neck type collar if you don’t.  My personal favorite detail is the back which arches up giving it a completely unique surprise in back.  Added modern, feminine touches include the oversized buttons, front pockets and a flared waist only in front.   This version by Zooey features thick cotton so it is thicker than your basic sweatshirt, but equally soft which makes it a pleasure to wear.

Another alternative to the basic black bomber jacket is a beautiful Motorcycle Sweater by Velvet by Graham and Spencer.  The Aspen Motorcycle sweater features an off center zipper all the way up to the top of the sweater.  Of course you can’t forget the added details with zipper pockets and epaulets on the shoulders.   This sweater still manages to be soft even though it is made with a wool nylon blend. This fabric of course makes it extremely warm!  With a cropped length, this sweater really does have a modern, distinctive look and is the perfect piece for winter weather.

This Cardigan Sweater is designed by Laurie B. and is the sweater I receive the most compliments on.  I love how it snaps at the neck and then slits open for a cardigan feel.   The pocket detail and long length makes this sweater so comfortable and easy to wear.   I always pair this sweater with the Zooey long sleeve crew neck in white. Considering this sweater is now in the outlet- it’s a steal of a deal. Maybe the luck  of the Irish.

So here is my version.  First, I always wear a trendy jacket with straight jeans and tall boots.  As for the jacket, I  love Zooey’s Bomber Jacket.

This jacket is so soft and comfortable it  feels like a sweatshirt, but looks fitted and trendy and fashionable.  I love the cropped look in back which gives it an added bit of flair.  To keep with the military theme I wear a military style hat but with a different jacket you could wear a trucker or knit hat as well.  Another great jacket example is Zooey’s version of the Pea coat, the Cropped Double Breasted Jacket.  This jacket goes great with that military look.

With this look I can be ready in as little as 15 minutes and not be afraid to run into anyone I know as the grocery store or gas station.  What about you, what is your favorite on the go look?

Velvet Daree Boatneck Top
