Don’t worry I am not talking about swimsuits just yet {prepare yourselves, the time is coming soon} but rather the cute things we wear on top of swimsuits. Since it isn’t quite full blown summer just yet any swim outing will probably require some sort of cover up and depending on the type of gal you are you might always require a swim cover up so lets look at some fashionable, versatile, and comfortable options.
Ok, first we have the full coverage of a maxi dress, which is super flattering for most body types. I love this Ella Moss Hollie Racerback Maxi Dress because it is casual enough for the beach yet elegant enough for a night out. I love pieces that can work for lots of occasions and this dress surly does that. Imagine it with aviator sunglasses, beaded gladiator sandals and a bright yellow bag-cute!

If you want something that shows a little more leg, try this ultra cute Sweet Pea Sleeveless Empire Waist Dress. Again the empire waist is a flattering cut that hides imperfections, and can easily transition from beach to going out. This dress can completely change looks with different accessories.

Sweet Pea Tunic U Neck Top
For those of you that are daring enough to show a bit more leg, I love this Sweet Pea Tunic U Neck Top, perfect for throwing on over white jeans right after a fun day at the beach. The bold black and white print is classy yet youthful.
So what is your cover up style? Less is more? Or more is more?

With spring comes warmer weather and lighter and brighter colored clothes. I love all the bright and cheery colors and this season I am especially loving the sunshine yellow that seems to be showing up everywhere. This color is great for tops, skirts, dresses, shoes, handbags, where ever you want to add a pop of color. This Heart Button Cardigan by Joy Joy is so sweet and with 3/4 length sleeves it is the perfect piece for spring and cool summer nights.

If you live in a warmer climate or are just looking for something more summery, try the Hollie Crew Top by Ella Moss. The lace detail around the neckline really adds some interest to the basic and comfortable shape of this top. I’d pair it will white skinny jeans, metallic sandals, and a jean jacket for weekend errands or strolls at the beach.

Lastly, the Jocelyn Puffsleeve Boatneck Top by Ella Moss is perfect in lemonade yellow. The added interest of the white circles keeps this cute and simple top fresh for summer. Imagine this with denim bermuda shorts and white wedges, perfect for lunch with the ladies!

Now go out there and add some sunshine to your wardrobe! And remember if yellow really isn’t your thing{gasp!} you can shop by color at Vintage Fringe to find something that is more you.

This is about the time of year when I dump my coat and jacket and start wearing the cardigan. A cardigan is a versatile addition to your fashion wardrobe. A cardigan can be worn with jeans, pants, skirts, dresses or almost any garment. Designer Cardigans will be a great addition to your wardrobe for both the cardigan’s versatility and those added designer details that make your clothes stand apart from your friend’s clothes. Below are some of my favorite cardigans for spring.

- Ella Moss Miley Striped Cardigan
I love love love the bold colors of this cardigan. Ella Moss designed this cardigan in Candy Apple (red) with with blue and yellow stitch detail or in Admiral (blue) with red, white, and yellow stitched detail. This Miley Cardigan is cropped and features a button top. Below is a picture of the detail in the back of this cardigan in Admiral (blue).

Another cardigan I can’t get enough of is the the Gable Stripe Cardigan designe by renowned knit designer Laurie B.

- Laurie B. Stripe Zipper Cardigan
I love to wear this Gable Stripe Cardigan on its ow as a top or as a cardigan with a black dress or black top. You essentially get two great looks in one top! As always designer Laurie B.’s taste is immpecable.

- Joy Joy Heart Button Cardigan
I love this Heart Button Cardigan for all it’s adorable little details. Joy Joy designed this cardigan in black, yellow (picture above), green, and hot pink. I love the adorable heart buttons and the perfect elbow length in the sleeves.

As things finally start to warm up outside, I thought I would finally do a blog about some of my favorite tops and designers that I am wearing these days to look fashionable in this transitional weather. I love layering and since it is still a little too cold to wear tanks and short sleeves in Colorado I have found this tank works great over a basic long sleeve scoop neck.

Tie Tank by La Bafana
This tie tank is perfect for layering or wearing alone. I also love its sister tank which is the same style, but with an adorable polka dot pattern.

La Befana Polka Dot Tie Tank

Hampton Widesleeve Scoop Neck by Ella Moss
I’ve been wearing this Hampton widesleeve scoop neck top by Ella Moss with jeans all over the place lately. The scoop neck with the empire waist tie allows this top to be loose but also flattering at the same time. I also love this deep crimson color. I tend to pair this top with Splendid’s Very Light Jersey Draped Cardigan in white.

Splendid's Very Lighe Jersey Draped Cardigan in Coffee
This jersey cardigan comes in coffee (brown), white, black, and parsley (green). It is super comfortable and perfect to add a little extra warmth on a chilly spring night.
These are just some of my favorite tops lately, you can see these tops and more at Vintage Fringe.

Do you like buying quality designer clothes for about half the price? If you love a good deal as much as me check out the Vintage Fringe Outlet. Below are some of my favorites.

Laurie B. Venice Sweater Shirt
This sweater shirt with keyhole detail designed by Laurie B. is a viscose, cashmere, nylon mix that will make you feel like a million dollars without really having to spend that much. Available in balsamic (purple) and cream (ivory) hurry up and get yours before they run out of stock.

Ella Moss Kiki Front Tie Dress
This Kiki Front Tie Dress is the very dress that first attracted me to Ella Moss. I love the feminine details, quality construction, and flattering design put into this dress. I also love this vanilla color, just think of how you will stand out at a party when every other girl is in a black dress.

Splendid Loose Knit Tie Hoodie
This 3/4 sleeve hoodie is so comfortable and also very stylish. I love the loose v-neck with the tie waist and hoodie detail, and I also love the oatmeal color which looks great with jeans or capris. I also like to wear this with my spandex pants to spinning class. Designed by Splendid, this top is machine washable.
These styles and many more are available at the Vintage Fringe Outlet for low low low prices, just don’t forget shipping on outlet items is $7.50 and all sales are final.

This Wednesday Irish or not so Irish it’s probably in your best interest to wear green. I am still trying to decide just how festive I want to look for a St. Patty’s day party this weekend. Just in case anyone else is still trying to pick your outfit out. Below are some of my favorites to choose from.

Laurie B. Emmy Cardigan Sweater in Kelly Green
This Cardigan Sweater is designed by Laurie B. and is the sweater I receive the most compliments on. I love how it snaps at the neck and then slits open for a cardigan feel. The pocket detail and long length makes this sweater so comfortable and easy to wear. I always pair this sweater with the Zooey long sleeve crew neck in white. Considering this sweater is now in the outlet- it’s a steal of a deal. Maybe the luck of the Irish.
The other shirt I am considering for St. Patrick’s day is this Victoria Front Tie Top designed by Ella Moss.

Ella Moss Victoria Front Tie Top
There are so many details I love about this top. First I love the ruffles at the neck line and the cuffs. This flirty top is made of Ella Moss’s modal fabric which is super durable and the ultimate in comfort.
Some of you celebrating St. Patrick’s Day may want to dress it up. For a dressy night on the town I would suggest the Aggie V Neck Ruffle Dress.

Aggie V Neck Ruffle Dress by Ella Moss
This empire waist dress is so adorable and so unique you will definitely stand out as the best dressed in the crowd. I love how fun and playful yet flattering the stripes are on this dress. St. Patty’s Day or not you will be sure to gave good luck the night you wear this dress. For any other St. Patrick’s day inspirations just visit VintageFringe.com and search by color. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

Ella Moss clothes can be described as hip, quirky and fashionable. But my favorite thing about this clothing line is that the pieces are so comfortable! They are as stylish as ever, yet feel like you are wearing your favorite old t-shirt. I also appreciate how versatile these clothes are, they can easily go from day to night depending on what you pair them with. Here are a few of my favorite pieces, starting with this ultra flattering
Costa Puffsleeve V Neck. The draping at the bust line looks elegant and stylish, this would be great with white jeans and embellished flats for summer.

Ella Moss Costa Puffsleeve V Neck
Right on target with the nautical trend, Ella Moss’s Melbourne line is chic, comfortable and features wide stripes in a variety of colors. I particularly like the
Melbourne Puffsleeve Front Tie Top, the oatmeal color is great and the v neck in front and back add great detail to this slouchy top. It could be paired nicely with just about any color and dressed up with dark denim and heels or dressed down with cute cut offs and sandals.

Ella Moss Melbourne Puffsleeve Front Tie Top
The last Ella Moss top I want to highlight is this light and breezy Jocelyn Puffsleeve Boatneck Top. I love the bright color {this beauty is also available in Lemonade aka yellow, which is fab!} and the gathered cuff, collar, and hem which make this shirt all the more flattering and forgiving for those of us without the picture perfect body shape. This shirt could easily do double duty this summer as a swim cover up, and because of the fun print you don’t need loads of accessories. {Although I have always been one to do a bit more rather then a bit less when it comes to accessories!}

All of these tops and more Ella Moss beauties are available at Vintage Fringe, go check it out and tell me your fav!

Sunshine, blue skies, flowers, and spring dresses! Welcome to March! With warmer weather on the horizon, I am drawn to cute little dresses that just be thrown on. These dresses look good with boots, cardigans, or over a swimsuit whatever your weather might be. This Splendid Modal Jersey V Neckdress is perfect for spring and is very versatile, belts, necklaces, sweaters, jackets, boots and sandals can all change this dress and make it a work horse for your closet.

Splendid Modal Jersey V Neck in Blueberry
I think most women are always searching for the perfect little black dress and this Ella Moss Abigail Ruffle Front V Neck Dress totally fits the bill. It has gorgeous details, an ultra flattering cut, and the ‘of the moment’ ruffle-love it all!

Ella Moss Abigail Ruffle Front V Neck Dress in Black
One other dress that I love, is this Velvet by Graham and Spencer Olka 3/4 Sleeve Dress. The neutral brown color would look great with a pop of color accessories like pink, blue, or maybe even some animal print! Another great spring versatile dress that can be ‘winterized’ with boots and a jacket, or ’summerized’ with sandals and sunglasses!

Spring colors are always a welcomed thing to me, the darkness of winter is exchanged for bright, sunny, and what I call “happy” colors. Last fall, Chanel used a jade color nail polish on their models on the runway and launched an obsession with the color at the same time. Jade, or green is a great color for most people, you just have be be careful with the shade and tone of it, making sure it works for your skin tone. For spring i am loving this Tie Waist Hoodie from Spendid, perfect for a swimsuit{don’t worry we aren’t quite there yet} cover-up, a dress with leggings and boots, or as shown over jeans. It is very versatile and the perfect spring color!

- Baby Fleece Tie Waist Hoodie by Spendid
Another great top in a slightly different shade of green is the Hamptom Hoodie by Ella Moss. I love the all the details and of course the green shade, which could easily go with so many other colors and patterns. It has a very relaxed look that is perfect for spring, especially with the longer sleeves for a bit more warmth, but in a lighter cotton that could transition to summer nights effortlessly.

- Hampton Hoodie by Ella Moss
Vintage Fringe has so many other really pretty and interesting tops in a shade of green, don’t forget that you can shop their site by color, love that! Now go have some fun and put on something other then black!

Spring trends are on everyone’s mind, {lets be honest, most stores are rolling out swim suits this month!}but spring could be a ways off for some of you, so here are some looks that I love for right NOW. As mentioned in this
post, ruffles are in and I love the chic gray color and slimming wrap detail of this
Potina Top by
Velvet by Graham and Spencer. Paired with dark denim and a headband accessory and the look is fresh and oh so appropriate for february weather. {I think I would love this top even more if I was holding the
Borrealis bag, the colors would be so pretty with the gray of this top!}

Potina Ruffle Top by Velvet with dark denim
Another look that I am loving is the slouchy, loose fitting boyfriend look, like this
Boyfriend Buttonup by
Splendid. This shirt exudes that laid back style, I love pairing it with lots of necklaces as shown for some unexpected glamour. As always, I love a good riding boot and this black pair complement and complete the entire look. If this isn’t quite warm enough yet, no worries just layer a bomber
jacket, or long
cardigan over it!

Boyfriend Buttonup Shirt by Splendid with riding boots
And lastly, for those of us that “winter” never really comes {I live in San Diego, don’t hate me!} this
Ellasentials Cardigan Smock by
Ella Moss is perfect. The shortened sleeve, open front and details at the shoulders and back all add charm to this closet staple. I love how this cardigan can eaisly be great for anything from running around town with the kiddos or dressed up for an evening out.

So, even though we are being bombarded with what is new and hot for spring, don’t forget to live and appreciate each moment! Look great right NOW while looking forward to wearing Spring 2010 trends. What are you wearing right NOW??
