Ella Moss Tops

Some of our favorite tops hail from designer Ella Moss.  The wonderful Ella Moss line is well known for their great use of luxurious fabrics to help give their pieces a flowy, feminine look.  Ella Moss tops are always contemporary, yet elegant styles and the fabrics make you wish you could wear them all the time.  The styles of Ella Moss tops generally fall on the dressier side of your wardrobe, but there are several Ella Moss tops that do have a more casual look.   Here are a few of our favorite Ella Moss tops.

Consider the Victoria Front Tie Neck Top by Ella Moss.  This top features a ruffle around the neckline and long ties for show or if you were to actually tie them around the neck would give it a more Victorian look.  This top features a v neckline with buttons down the center of the bodice.  The base of the top has a loose fluid look to it.  The sleeves also feature a light ruffle at the hem.  Made with contrasting voile fabric around the cuffs and bustline and modal jersey around the body of the top, this top feels as luxurious as it looks.  This beautiful top is available in Lemonade (Yellow) or Chive (Green).

The Jocelyn Puff Sleeve Top by Ella Moss is also a great versatile piece for your wardrobe.  This top features a lightweight cotton fabric with an adorable pattern including white flowers on the solid cherry red or lemonade yellow fabrics.  With a ruffle around the base of the sleeves, the neckline and the waist, this top always looks feminine.  The waist line and the cuff of the puff sleeve are gathered as well.  This lightweight top is the perfect addition to your summer or spring wardrobe.

Finally, we love the classic, but always perfect Ellassentials Short Sleeve V Neck Top with Smocking.  This top features the classic modal jersey fabric which we have learned to love about the Ella Moss line.  The fabric feels so soft and luxurious.  This elegant v neck also features smocking in the center at the base of the v neck for contrast which really does give this top an added element of femininity.  The base of the top features a flared empire waist like fit which of course only adds to the feminine touches.  This top is available in Admiral (Navy) and Haze (Grey).  This top really is classic and elegant at the same time.

As you can see there is never a shortage of great, distinctive top options with Ella Moss.  Complete with fabulous fabrics, these tops feel as luxurious as they look.  If you already love Ella Moss tops, you will know exactly what we are talking about and if you haven’t ever tried an Ella Moss top, you will want to try incorporating at least one Ella Moss top into your wardrobe.  We are confident that you will find that Ella Moss tops are an essential component of every gal’s wardrobe.

Cute Juniors Clothes

Part of every girl’s wardrobe are those night on the town pieces that work are so much fun.  When we shop for night out clothes it is easy to find cute juniors clothes and lots of pieces that work for a fabulous girl’s night out.

A few of our favorite pieces include the Burca scoopneck dress that is part of Velvet by Graham and Spencer’s slinky rayon collection.  We love rocking this dress for a night out with the great details on this piece including the exposed zipper in back, the fitted waist and the flared top.  This dress looks stunning with boots and/or with leggings.  The slinky rayon fabric feels amazing on and gives the fabric the perfect amount of cling so that it does stay fitted and doesn’t stretch out over time.

Another perfect piece for a night out is the Sonia Ruffle Sleeve Studded top by Ella Moss.  This top features a v neck in back and accenting metal grommets on the v neck and down the back of the top.  The neckline in front is square, but slightly loose giving it a great modern, feminine look. Complete with a fitted waist band and a loose short sleeve, this top is an edgier statement piece that is a must have for any fashion forward gal.

Of course many nights out you need a great dressy cardigan or wrap to wear over that perfect tank or top.  We love the Zooey Satin Trim Cropped Cardigan for dressy occasions and nights out.  This top features a great contrast of textures and fabrics with a satin trim down the front of the cardigan and then with a knit fabric for the body of the top.  This top is super versatile and works well with dressy pants or skirts but also works well with jeans for more casual occasions. Not to mention pairing it with boots for an alternate look.

Zooey also has another great statement piece that is fabulous for a night out with their Folded Cowl Neck Top.  We love love love the flared sleeves, the fitted waist and the loose cowl neck on this top.  Available in classic black or in Dungeon a steel blue color that is so stunning you really can’t go wrong with either color.  We love this top with jeans or with a skirt and boots in the fall.  The fabric is an amazing rayon/lycra blend so it feels amazing on.

Of course this is just a sample of some of our favorite clothes for that night out on the town.  Many of these tops feature great trends in colors and in styles and practically all of them work really well this fall when paired with boots and/or leggings another great fashion trend this season.  This added versatility is so important for most of us as we continue to try and make every purchase count.  You’ll also note that all of these pieces feature great fabrics another one of our essential components at Vintage Fringe for our favorite statement pieces.

Color Obsession: Yellow

With spring comes warmer weather and lighter and brighter colored clothes. I love all the bright and cheery colors and this season I am especially loving the sunshine yellow that seems to be showing up everywhere. This color is great for tops, skirts, dresses, shoes, handbags, where ever you want to add a pop of color. This Heart Button Cardigan by Joy Joy is so sweet and with 3/4 length sleeves it is the perfect piece for spring and cool summer nights.

If you live in a warmer climate or are just looking for something more summery, try the Hollie Crew Top by Ella Moss. The lace detail around the neckline really adds some interest to the basic and comfortable shape of this top. I’d pair it will white skinny jeans, metallic sandals, and a jean jacket for weekend errands or strolls at the beach.

Spotlight on Ella Moss designer tops

Ella Moss clothes can be described as hip, quirky and fashionable.  But my favorite thing about this clothing line is that the pieces are so comfortable! They are as stylish as ever, yet feel like you are wearing your favorite old t-shirt.  I also appreciate how versatile these clothes are, they can easily go from day to night depending on what you pair them with. Here are a few of my favorite pieces, starting with this ultra flattering Costa Puffsleeve V Neck. The draping at the bust line looks elegant and stylish, this would be great with white jeans and embellished flats for summer.

Right on target with the nautical trend, Ella Moss’s Melbourne line is chic, comfortable and features wide stripes in a variety of colors. I particularly like the Melbourne Puffsleeve Front Tie Top, the oatmeal color is great and the v neck in front and back add great detail to this slouchy top. It could be paired nicely with just about any color and dressed up with dark denim and heels or dressed down with cute cut offs and sandals.

The last Ella Moss top I want to highlight is this light and breezy Jocelyn Puffsleeve Boatneck Top. I love the bright color {this beauty is also available in Lemonade aka yellow, which is fab!} and the gathered cuff, collar, and hem which make this shirt all the more flattering and forgiving for those of us without the picture perfect body shape.  This shirt could easily do double duty this summer as a swim cover up, and because of the fun print you don’t need loads of accessories. {Although I have always been one to do a bit more rather then a bit less when it comes to accessories!}

Spring Color Trend: Jade

Spring colors are always a welcomed thing to me, the darkness of winter is exchanged for bright, sunny, and what I call “happy” colors. Last fall, Chanel used a jade color nail polish on their models on the runway and launched an obsession with the color at the same time. Jade, or green is a great color for most people, you just have be be careful with the shade and tone of it, making sure it works for your skin tone. For spring i am loving this Tie Waist Hoodie from Spendid, perfect for a swimsuit{don’t worry we aren’t quite there yet} cover-up, a dress with leggings and boots, or as shown over jeans. It is very versatile and the perfect spring color!

Another great top in a slightly different shade of green is the Hamptom Hoodie by Ella Moss. I love the all the details and of course the green shade, which could easily go with so many other colors and patterns. It has a very relaxed look that is perfect for spring, especially with the longer sleeves for a bit more warmth, but in a lighter cotton that could transition to summer nights effortlessly.

Vintage Fringe has so many other really pretty and interesting tops in a shade of green, don’t forget that you can shop their site by color, love that! Now go have some fun and put on something other then black!

The best looks for right NOW

Spring trends are on everyone’s mind, {lets be honest, most stores are rolling out swim suits this month!}but spring could be a ways off for some of you, so here are some looks that I love for right NOW. As mentioned in this post, ruffles are in and I love the chic gray color and slimming wrap detail of this Potina Top by Velvet by Graham and Spencer. Paired with dark denim and a headband accessory and the look is fresh and oh so appropriate for february weather. {I think I would love this top even more if I was holding the Borrealis bag, the colors would be so pretty with the gray of this top!}

Another look that I am loving is the slouchy, loose fitting boyfriend look, like this Boyfriend Buttonup by Splendid. This shirt exudes that laid back style, I love pairing it with lots of necklaces as shown for some unexpected glamour. As always, I love a good riding boot and this black pair complement and complete the entire look. If this isn’t quite warm enough yet, no worries just layer a bomber jacket, or long cardigan over it!

And lastly, for those of us that “winter” never really comes {I live in San Diego, don’t hate me!} this Ellasentials Cardigan Smock by Ella Moss is perfect. The shortened sleeve, open front and details at the shoulders and back all add charm to this closet staple. I love how this cardigan can eaisly be great for anything from running around town with the kiddos or dressed up for an evening out.

Fashion Trends from the Grammys

Red Carpet fashion at the Grammys was glamor mixed with rock, pop, and even a little bit of country.  The best dressed ladies of the night wore dresses that had the perfect mix between going dressy and keeping it fresh and young.  So here again are my best dressed pics and my everyday translation for them.

A total standout of the night was  Mary J. Blige in a long fuchsia gown designed by Gucci.

Mary J. Blige in Gucci

Mary J. Blige in Gucci

Gucci is a typical pick for Mary J. Blige, but this dress is a daring choice for her.  I love the fuchsia color, but most of all I  love the detail on the neck that adds just enough detail to make the dress interesting yet classically beautiful. My choice for an everyday look that encompasses the same style as this look is the Margarethe Scoop Neck Twist Top by Velvet.

While this everyday version of Mary J. Blige’s dress pick does not come in fuchsia, it does come in Sunny (yellow), Black, Stardust (purple), and Sprig (lt. brown).  I love how sultry the twist top scoop neck makes me feel and look.  This top is a perfect choice for a date or any night on the town.  I also love how this look works for any body type or shape.

My next pick for best dressed at the Grammys was Jennifer Nettles in a fierce cut out gown designed by Victoria Beckham.

Sugarland’s leading lady looked like royalty at the Grammy’s last night dawning a red and black cut out gown.  I love how the black out lines and cut outs give a completely flattering and classic look a bit of a modern twist.  I also applaud Jennifer for being such a trendsetter and picking a relatively new red carpet designer.

My everyday translation of this look is an adorable cut out top designed by Ella Moss.

Ella Moss Blair Puffsleve Top

Ella Moss Blaire Puffsleve Top

The Blaire Puffsleeve top features a  3/4 length sleeve with cut outs near the shoulders which are lined in white.  I love how this cut out exposes skin right where the collar bones and the shoulder connect.  I also love that Ella Moss carries this top two bold colors: Candy Apple (red) as well as Admiral (Navy Blue).

Find these everyday styles and more designed by Velvet, Ella Moss, Sweet Pea, Alix K. and more at Vintage Fringe everyday and of course comment on this post with your own best dressed picks from the Grammys.

Ella Moss and Velvet Go Neutral

Nude colors just aren’t for your bras and underwear anymore.  Neutrals, buffs, and nudes are all over the place this spring.  For many of you fair fashionistas a nude color palette may be something you think is not at all flattering for your fair complexion.  So here are a few of my suggestions on how to wear nude and not  get washed out.

Velvet's Freda Gathered Waist Dress in Fog

Instead of matching your new wardrobe with your foundation colors instead look to incorporate subtle neutrals to your wardrobe.  For those especially fair ladies  make sure you pick a neutral hue that doesn’t bring out the yellow undertones in your skin.  A perfect example of this is Velvet’s  Freda Gathered dress in the “fog” color.  This very neutral almost lavender color is great for the fair ladies who can get easily washed out in other colors.  This fog color introduced by Velvet will highlight the pinks in your skin tone.  I also really love how this neutral color with a hint of gray really makes the model’s blue eyes pop.

To follow the fashion trend of nudes and neutrals you don’t always have to wear all nude.  This cute nude and white striped shirt by Ella Moss is adorable and allows you to accessorize with bold colors which is oh so perfect for spring.  I love how Ella Moss added a neutral stripe to this puffsleeve front tie top which adds a bit a flair to an already trendy top.  This top also has elastic in the sleeves and the waist which gives you a perfectly tailored look.

These designer looks are sure be strong this spring, and don’t forget at Vintage Fringe you can always shop by color or designer.
