Seasonless Sunglasses

Sunglasses are the perfect accessory for sunny summer weather and hot summer fashion. Plus, when you are in a hurry, or heading home from the beach, they cover up those no mascara eye lashes!  Whether it is over-sized, aviator, or retro there is a fit that works for everyone.

One style that has come back and seems to continue to be a big hit, is retro inspired frames. I especially love the over-sized variety that scream feathered hair and bell bottoms. Check out these MICHAEL by Michael Kors ‘Carmel’ Oversized Sunglasses. I love the color and the shape, and at such an affordable price these are a great find.

A great classic style is the aviator. So many options are available from bright and bold, to the more demur of frames. I tend to choose something more classic, like these Roberto Cavalli ‘Leopard’ Avaitor Sunglasses.

 One other common and trendy style is the shield sunglasses. {I always envision Victoria Beckham looking uber powerful when I think of shield sunglasses} These can be a great look and a bit more dressy of a style to me. Check out the beautiful Prada ‘Triangle Logo’ Shield Sunglasses, aren’t they great??

Whatever your style be, so out and enjoy some sun, just protect your eyes before you do!

{Not to mention that protecting your eyes with one of these pairs will totally up your style points:)}

Spring things to try and love!{part one}

Fashion and beauty trends cycle with the seasons, and with spring, like the earth, we get fresh, new, and cheery things. If you, like most women, are looking to stay so to speak, current, with the trends in fashion and beauty, then please consider trying {and I promise you will love!} these four things which can bring to you a fresh, clean start for spring and a newness to your look. The first spring thing to try and love is a wide belt. This trend has been going strong and with spring we find belts with awesome color and detail that are sure to jazz up any outfit. Wide belts do wonders for your figure and are a great way to update a look without having to buy a whole new wardrobe, the best part being that they are available at every price point. One of my favorite wide belts for spring is this Blooming in Burgundy Belt from Anthropologie. Beautiful color, gorgeous detail, what more do you want??

Number two spring thing to try and love: vibrating mascara. Several different make up lines carry these now and they are fantastic! Mimicking the motion that make up artists have been doing for years to get better coverage and more mascara on the eyelashes, vibrating mascara really adds some drama to your eyes. If you have a brand you love, try theirs, if you don’t want to spend a bunch of cash, try Maybelline’s Pulse Perfect Mascara. From what I can tell, works just as good {if not better} then the department store brands and is a steal at under $10.

Stay tuned for the last two spring things to try and love, coming later this week! Do you have a fashion or beauty thing that you have recently tried and loved?? Tell me about it!

Spring Handbags

Bohemian, edgy, neon or classic, no matter what your style your handbag speaks volumes about you, and lets be honest, really needs to functional to be loved and used often. This spring, designers don’t disappoint with beautiful bags that can hold it all and be carried different ways, perfect for the modern over-achieving woman.{aren’t we always trying to do ten things at once??} Bohemian is a major player in spring trends and this colorful Borealis bag from Anthropologie fits perfectly. With so many different colors, it would go well with anything. No need to wait until spring to use this beauty, a dark winter outfit would just highlight all the details.

 Another look that I am loving for spring is neon and bright colors. A pop of color is one of my favorite things to add to an outfit, this Flash-Leola Hobo by MARC BY MARC JACOBS combines a little bit of edgy with the zippers and a lot of bit of bright with the blue color.

 If you like something more classic, check out the Big Buddha by Mia, the gray color and shape are traditional, with a over-sized ruched floral detail that adds some fringe to this otherwise basic bag.

Happy spring bag shopping! Let me know what your bag for spring will look like, I think I am leaning toward the bohemian look. I just love all those fun colors! Don’t forget to check out Vintage Fringe to get some fabulous threads to go with your fabulous bag!

Trend Alert: Accessories

Navigating the maze of accessories can be tough, here are a few no-fail tricks that work to jazz up any outfit. One of my favorite things to do{and celebrities rock this all the time} is to add a pop of color somewhere to an outfit. It could be a handbag, a necklace, a shoe, anything really.  Here is a great example of a simple jeans and top {a fabulous top at that, its Sweet Peaby Staci Frati Ruffle Sleeve Bib Top} with a pop of color in the shoe. The bright purple is fun and unexpected-love this look!

Another hot accessory trend is an over-sized clutch. What girl doesn’t love an over-sized bag?? This look is so functional and fashionable, love that combo don’t you?? This look clearly has a pop of color in the pants, and a busy print in the Keelin Squareneck Lace Top by Velvet so the neutral black and brown accessories are spot on. Notice how the clutch is black and the bangles are brown, don’t be afraid to mix!

 And lastly, something that I like to call the three B’s: Boots, belt and bangles. Boots have been major for the past several seasons and there are no signs of that slowing down. They can instantly add some rock-n-roll, retro, classy, or cowboy to your look. Belts are are great way to create a waist, and can even work great to camouflage a waist when wore when a blousy top. Bangles are so easy to throw on and it seems that ‘the more the merrier’ trend with them is still going strong. So don’t be afraid to stack them up! I love how all three of these accessories jazz up this simple{yet beautiful} black tunic dress by Ella Moss. Again notice the pewter on the belt and the gold bangles, mixing these is ok and looks chic, don’t be afraid to try it!
