Fall fashion is so much fun, I have been loving the opportunity to wear sweaters, boots, and scarfs. One of my favorite brands for sweaters is Splendid. They are perfectly soft, comfortable, easy to layer and just all around pretty and well designed pieces. The 1×1 8 Button Cardigan is just perfect for cool fall days, I love that it comes black, navy or pink and is equally cute button up or open. With its longer length this is the perfect piece to throw on over leggings and boots.
Rayon Slub Jersey Cardigan by Splendid
I love the ease of the Rayon Slub Jersey Cardigan. The rolled sleeves and comfortable cut make this a go to item for all types of events and weather. Clearly it is super cute belted, but it is also great just left open showing off a bit of your favorite tank or camisole.

Ok lastly, I am such a fan of this 1×1 Pocket Cardigan, I totally love sweater vests because they are the easiest thing to throw over a not so cute top and look polished. Fall and winter fashion are all about layers for me, and what is better staple piece and layering item them leggings?? Leggings are so great because they can be worn in a million different ways to make a million different looks. I love leggings tucked into boots, or worn with booties and a tunic length top. Velvet by Graham and Spencer, who are known for their ultra soft and comfortable fabrics have a fabulous pair of knit leggings, the Swoosie. {Wouldn’t love to know where that name came from??} They are the perfect pair to start your looks with, available in dark grey or black.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but is supposed to hit the 90′s this weekend, so I am still very much into summer clothes. Especially summer clothes that will transition into fall and winter outfits. Enter the Lace Trim Stripe Tank by Collective Concepts, it is obviously perfect for summer just by itself. But imagine it with a coordinating color long sleeve shirt underneath it for fall, and a cropped leather jacket on top for winter, so chic!

Another great piece for layering, is an open cardigan. I love to wear an open cardigan with leggings, because then I can wear a shorter shirt and the open cardigan is long enough to cover my behind. Spring colors are always a welcomed thing to me, the darkness of winter is exchanged for bright, sunny, and what I call “happy” colors. Last fall, Chanel used a jade color nail polish on their models on the runway and launched an obsession with the color at the same time. Jade, or green is a great color for most people, you just have be be careful with the shade and tone of it, making sure it works for your skin tone. For spring i am loving this Tie Waist Hoodie from Spendid, perfect for a swimsuit{don’t worry we aren’t quite there yet} cover-up, a dress with leggings and boots, or as shown over jeans. It is very versatile and the perfect spring color!

Another great top in a slightly different shade of green is the Hamptom Hoodie by Ella Moss. I love the all the details and of course the green shade, which could easily go with so many other colors and patterns. It has a very relaxed look that is perfect for spring, especially with the longer sleeves for a bit more warmth, but in a lighter cotton that could transition to summer nights effortlessly.

Bold shoulders and
sleeves have been all over the runways, magazines, and celebrities this year. And for good reason, the updated version of the 1980′s shoulder pad trend is classy and accentuates{or tricks the eye to see} a small waist, it creates beautiful curves. I love fashion, however it is just not practical for me to wear some of the more extreme sleeve and shoulder styles that celebrities have been spotted wearing{did you see
Rihanna’s or
Fergie’s spiked shoulders?}. So, for those of us with less red carpet events and more grocery carts in our lives, here are some cute ways to incorporate the bold shoulder and sleeve trend into your closet.

Spring trends are on everyone’s mind, {lets be honest, most stores are rolling out swim suits this month!}but spring could be a ways off for some of you, so here are some looks that I love for right NOW. As mentioned in this

Splendid Clothing
Vintage style has a host of meanings to different people. In an effort to dispel the myth that vintage style refers to old lady clothes, at Vintage Fringe we have found many vintage styles that are far from matronly or stuffy. One such example would be a new top from Splendid’s fall line that to us exemplifies timeless vintage style. The vintage example a sweatshirt worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s looks adorable on her (no surprise there).
Timeless Vintage Style
We couldn’t help but notice the similarity between this top and a couple of our new arrivals from Splendid.
They both even feature that classic sweatshirt V stiched in the center. Of course at Vintage Fringe, we love the little details like that which bring meaning to the Fringe in Vintage Fringe. In our opinion, the Splendid version is more sophisticated. The newer versions from Splendid also feature a few distinctions such as flared cuffs and a more fitted look, but we’re sure you will agree that both of these tops pass the test of being timeless. Not to mention that once you wear the Splendid top, you will be truly amazed by the luxurious feel of the fabric.
We find that such timeless tops will last beyond the quickly changing fashion fads. As this vintage style illustrates, such pieces will never go out of style. Plus when you feel the fabric you really won’t want to live without this top.
