Splendid 8 Button Cardigan

It’s an undeniable and unexpected fashion trend that has become a must have for every wardrobe…the long cardigan. Today’s cardigans are not the cardigans we used to see on Mr. Rogers or your Grandpa, they are actually the perfect layer for almost every occasion. Some of our favorite summer/fall cardigans have more of a lightweight feel than a jacket and are certainly more versatile. Cardigans can also be paired with so many accessories from scarfs to leggings to skinny jeans.

At Vintage Fringe we have numerous cardigans to choose from. My favorite cardigan is Splendid’s 1×1 8 Button Cardigan. What I love about this cardigan is the waist band at the end of the long cardigan. This added detail flatters every body. I can wear this cardigan anywhere with anything. I actually wear this cardigan every time I fly because it is the perfect fashionable and lightweight layer that can cover some of my midsection flaws and let’s be honest, most of us have a few flaws we would like to cover up.

Splendid Cotton Bamboo Cardigan

Another favorite cardigan I also adore is the Cotton Bamboo Short Sleeve Cardigan also by Splendid. What I love about this cardigan is the added seam detail which is so hot this season as well as the flared cut to the short sleeves that actually slims the look of my arms. This cardigan is fun to wear and especially with the pocket detail that only looks cute with a cardigan this length.

Lindsay Lohan in Ruffles

Here at Vintage fringe we have so many different ruffle tops and dresses to choose from.  The classic example is our La Befana Ruffle Halter Tank.  La Befana chooses the classic Halter top cut to really accentuate the ruffle detail making the top classy and flattering.  La Befana added one more classic signature to this top–an adorable tie in the back. This ruffle halter comes in a dusty blue that looks beautiful with khaki and is such a classic color it really can be worn in every season.

Another trendy tank I just adore is the Sweet Pea 4 Tiered Ruffle Tank. Like all of Sweet Pea clothing this tank is bright and feminine. This strappy tank features 4 tiers of ruffles and comes in a beautiful cranapple witch is a bright fuschia color as well as rain which is an aqua blue.

Ella Moss Clothing

Ella Moss Clothing is naturally known as a trendy, fashionable line for women, but at Vintage Fringe we also love how much of their line is impacted by vintage style.  For example, take this picture of Katherine Hepburn circa the 1940s.  Notice the puffy sleeves and the cinched center with the v neck.  All of these details are rampant in today’s modern fashions and many of them are found in recent designs from Ella Moss.

Check out the Ella Moss Puff Sleeve V Neck top; perhaps the best illustration of this Hepburn vintage style in modern application.  We love the cinched v neck, the puff sleeve and another application of another fashion trend as we mentioned in prior posts this awesome Smokey Purple Color.
